What is the Application Tracker?
The Application Tracker is a live dashboard inside your student profile that shows the current status of every application you have submitted. Instead of checking your email repeatedly or wondering if a recruiter saw your profile, you can open the tracker and see exactly where each application stands at any point in time.
When you apply to a job or internship on PlaceHire, an application entry is automatically created in your tracker. Every action the recruiter takes is reflected immediately. No manual logging needed.

The Application Pipeline
Every application moves through a defined set of stages. Here is what each status means:
Applied
You have submitted your application. The recruiter has received it and it is sitting in their applicant queue. Your profile, resume, and AI Score have been shared with them.
Under Review
The recruiter has opened your application and is actively evaluating your profile. This is a positive signal — it means you have not been filtered out automatically.
Shortlisted
The recruiter has moved you forward. You are now in a smaller pool of candidates being considered seriously. You may receive a message or interview invitation soon.
Interview Scheduled
An interview has been confirmed. The tracker shows you the date, time, mode — online or offline — and any other details the recruiter has shared. You will also receive a notification by email.
Offer Extended
The company has extended a job or internship offer to you. Details of the offer will be shared through the platform or directly by the recruiter.
Rejected / Closed
The recruiter has decided not to move forward with your application at this stage. This is not a permanent outcome — you can apply to other roles and continue improving your profile and AI Score.
